--- Appearance, Specification and Compatibility

Appearance

At 520g - only a little over the Intel-recommended limit, the Freezer 7 Pro takes 4th place for weight in this roundup. Dimensions are 126.5(h) x 96.5(w) x 107(d)mm.

The Freezer 7 Pro is compatible only with Intel LGA 775 – lending weight, as it were, to the idea that support for just a single socket is likely to keep a cooler closer to the limit Intel recommends.

Also, the product's dedication solely to the LGA 775 cause, coupled with mounting pins inspired by Intel's stock design, means that there's plenty of space around the heat-sink and its six heat-pipes. Talking of the heat-sink, the fins at the back are intentionally bent downwards in order to direct air down onto the voltage-regulator modules on the motherboard.

The Freezer 7 Pro carries a 96mm fan mounted behind finger-protection arms that seem to maintain good airflow. The fan sits on rubber grommets to reduce noise and vibrations.
