Final Thoughts and Rating

Anyone in the market for a sub-£65 cooler that performs well and keeps relatively quiet should have the Hydro H75 on their shortlist.

Having started life as potentially-hazardous propositions for only the most extreme enthusiasts, liquid-based CPU coolers are now readily available from a number of manufacturers, all of whom promote mainstream solutions that are easy to install and require little-to-no maintenance.

Corsair has been at the forefront of closed-loop liquid-cooling development with its popular Hydro Series product line, and many of the attractions of the firm's first units are still evident today. The Hydro Series H75 remains extremely easy to install, build quality is good and it's more than capable of cooling an overclocked processor.

Building on these core ingredients, Corsair's latest 120mm solution is compact enough to fit into many of today's small-form-factor chassis, dual PWM fans are included as standard, and overall noise has been kept down to a minimum. We'd have liked to have seen a stronger metal backplate, as opposed to plastic, and a spare tube of thermal paste wouldn't have gone amiss, but we're struggling to pick genuine faults.

Anyone in the market for a sub-£65 cooler that performs well and keeps relatively quiet should have the Hydro H75 on their shortlist. No bells, no whistles, just solid closed-loop cooling in a simple, convenient package.

The Good

Simple, sleek design
Good build quality
Solid performance
Keeps quiet during use
Easy installation
Five-year warranty
Dual PWM fans

The Bad

Plastic mounting bracket is basic
No spare thermal paste

Seems like a decent AIO for those limited by space, they certainly seem like they're taking over. While its a good price (less than the H80i) and can handle a decent CPU, I'd still be look at the refurbished H80s that are still available on scan at about £40
Look like it's the H55 with a new top.
Hopefully it's a copper radiator not an Aluminium radiator like the cheap H55 had.
Pretty good review. I heard what I needed to hear.

I like where this is going, the simplicity in design is what I mean.
Things that are too flashy don't attract some buyers like me and seems a bit of a bother when trying to install things.

Like you guys said, the mounting bracket seems a bit of a cheap move on Corsair's part. Corsair, a brand known for it's quality…
Still waiting for Corsair H110i Hydro - if Corsair ever make it
Tested against nothing but the Intel reference cooler? :|
