We've already seen small-form-factor (SFF) PCs packing Intel's Core i7 processor from the likes of Shuttle, but California's iBUYPOWER wants a piece of the action and has announced its LAN Warrior - a suitably named SFF PC that claims to offer "enough firepower to stand toe-to-toe with even the most advanced gaming systems".
Housed in a small-but-menacing NZXT Rogue chassis, the LAN Warrior features a choice of Intel Core i7 processors - including the 965 Extreme - along with up to 12GB of tri-channel memory, ASUS' Rampage II Gene motherboard and the option of Asetek liquid cooling. Naturally, all that can be coupled with a pair of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295s or two ATI Radeon HD 4890s.
Elsewhere, there's room for four 3.5in drives - configurable with up to 6TB of hard drive space - and the option for Blu-ray, too. Sounds surprisingly monstrous considering its size, but get trigger happy with the optional upgrades and you'll soon reach a price tag over and beyond $5,000.
Show some restraint, however, and the base system - which features the 2.66GHz Intel Core i7 920 processor, 3GB of DDR3 memory and an NVIDIA GeForce 9500GT graphics card - can be yours for $999.
