If the 320 and 510 Series SSDs managed to whet your appetite - and you're curious to know what Intel has got up its sleeve for the rest of the year - a leaked roadmap claims to divulge all.
The trump card will be played by the 720 Series 'Ramsdale' - expected in 200GB and 400GB capacities - which is said to utilise 34nm SLC NAND, and adopt a 6Gbps PCIe form factor. The 710 Series 'Lyndonville' looks set to be a SATA 3Gbps solution, using 25nm MLC-HET, and hitting the market with 100GB, 200GB and 400GB capacities.
If it's a successor to the 510 Series you're wondering about, this is referred to as the 520 Series 'Cherryville'. Here, utilising SATA 6Gbps connectivity and 25nm MLC, Intel will apparently deliver 64GB, 120GB, 240GB and 480GB flavours.
Down into the 300 Series, 'Paint Creek' appears to be a 25nm MLC solution - utilising mSATA 3Gbps connectivity - for either 40GB or 80GB SKUs and last but not least, there's the 20GB 'Larson Creek. This is said to be a 34nm SLC endowed part, apparently taking on either SATA or mSATA 3Gbps connectivity, and rumoured to be purpose built for SSD caching - perhaps, as the ideal companion to Intel's Smart Response Technology?
