Thecus has unveiled the successor to its popular SOHO-orientated N3200 in the form of the N3200PRO.
The N3200PRO, pictured below, is powered by an AMD Geode processor and offers three SATA drive bays that support RAID 0, 1, 5 and JBOD.
As you'd expect, Thecus' tool-less design and LCD display are present, as is its web-based management software and media server solutions. But what's new?
Looking at the product itself, or the Thecus website, you'd have a hard time discerning the difference between the N3200 and N3200PRO. That's because the two major changes are internal; Thecus has upgraded the CPU from a Freescale to an AMD Geode, and the Realtek LAN chip has been replaced by an Intel alternative.
The result, says Thecus' general manager Florence Shih, is "improved performance and system response".
The Thecus N3200PRO is available to purchase from Scan.co.uk at a cost of £317.25.
