Thecus announced today that its ultra-high performance 1U storage server, namely the 1U4500, has passed the IEC/ISO certified reliability test.

The enterprise-orientated server, pictured below, received CE marking (comply with CE standards EN 60950-1:2001+A11:2004 and IEC 60950-1:2001) and Thecus went one step further by contracting a CNLA-certified laboratory to conduct reliability tests on the 1U4500 under extreme conditions.

The results? Well, we're told the 1U4500 will operate normally under "unfavourable operating environments" and it'll withstand shock and vibration.

We'd by no means suggest you start throwing your 1U4500 around, but Thecus is pretty proud of its accomplishments.
