With the 955X Platinum mainboard, MSI are utilizing the 955X + ICH7R chipset o give full support for the Intel LGA775 Pentium 4 EM64T processor along with Dual Core and Celeron processor too. The board supports a 1066Mhz FSB and 4 dual channel DDR2 667 of up to 8 Gb.
On an ATX form factor, other features include 4 x SATA2 RAID, 2 x extended SATA2 RAID, 1 x PCI-E 16x and 2x PCI-E 1x. As well as that lot, you also get support for 10 USB 2.0 ports, 3 IEEE1394 Firewire ports, 2 Gigabit LAN sockets and 7.1 Intel high definition audio.
