More music, less noise, enhanced
voice & wireless VoIP – all converged in the new
stylish Qstik EVOQ Bluetooth DSP headset
Available now for £59.99 from http://www.qstik.com
January 29, 2007 - Qstik has unveiled the world’s most advanced Digital Signal Processor (DSP) Bluetooth headset, integrating military-grade bi-directional noise and echo cancellation technology, high quality stereo music streaming, sophisticated speech enhancement and wireless VoIP capability into a single lightweight gadget – the distinctively stylish Qstik EVOQ.
The best-of-breed technologies featured in the Qstik EVOQ were originally developed for business-focused applications and markets, including the telecom and military communication systems. Qstik has integrated these diverse technologies to deliver a sophisticated, feature-rich Bluetooth headset for the consumer market.
Amir Nooral, managing director of Qstik and the driving force behind the new converged technology platform, says: “So many people buy a Bluetooth headset, only to throw it in a bottom drawer because it simply doesn’t work. Yet there is a clear market need and desire for advanced wireless headsets – for driving, for VoIP and for music streaming.”
Through the work previously carried out in the telecoms, military and call centre sectors, Qstik had access to the right technology to raise the bar on quality for consumer headsets. The challenge was to integrate these for the first time into a device which would meet uncompromising consumer demands for performance, usability, style and comfort.
“The level of technology sophistication and style achieved in the Qstik EVOQ is unprecedented. Compare it with the latest DSP-based headsets launched last week at CES in Las Vegas. On features, technical performance, quality and price, the Qstik EVOQ wins hands down,” says Nooral.
The result is enhanced speech for both the caller and the listener, vastly improving the quality of sound when making and receiving calls, and seamlessly transferring between music streaming and mobile telephony to ensure a call is never missed.
The Qstik EVOQ also looks as good as it sounds, with a distinctive circular design which challenges conventional headset aesthetics.

The Qstik EVOQ constantly adapts and automatically retunes to its surroundings to ensure optimum voice quality throughout the conversation. This is achieved by sophisticated, fast-converging, low-delay technology not available in other Bluetooth headsets, bringing to an end the frustration of intrusive and unwanted background noise mixed with speech.
An additional Qstik Bluetooth USB dongle, also A2DP and AVRCP compliant, enables desktop and notebook computers to wirelessly connect to the Qstik EVOQ for music streaming or Voice over IP (VoIP) applications.
Nooral confirms the core technologies featured in the EVOQ, such as adaptive noise cancellation and speech enhancement, have numerous applications. “Qstik has only begun to scratch the surface of the potential of these integrated technologies in the consumer electronics arena, and we have further products and applications in development now.”
The Qstik EVOQ DSP Bluetooth headset is available at http://www.qstik.com now for £59.99, and the Qstik Bluetooth USB dongle for £17.99. Consumers can purchase both items from Qstik in the same transaction for the combined introductory price of £69.99. This offer is valid until 31 March, 2007.
