If, like us, you happen to find Toshiba's range of netbooks to be some of the best-looking ultra-portable solutions on offer, you'll be happy to hear that the company's NB300 and NB305 have surfaced at a number of UK stores.
Toshiba's latest - first unveiled back at CES - are based on 2009's NB200 and, in addition to a few aesthetic tweaks, come armed with Intel's latest Atom architecture, codenamed Pineview.
Inside the system resides a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, integrated Intel GMA 3150 graphics, 1GB of DDR2 memory, up to 250GB of storage and a flush six-cell battery that promises up to 11 hours of usage from a single charge.
That's joined by a 10.1 LED backlit display providing a 1,024x600 resolution, and your usual array of connectivity options - including Wireless N, Ethernet, VGA out, three USB ports and a multi-card reader.
Not a bad little unit, we reckon, but you'll have to decide between the NB300 or NB305. What's the difference? Well, it's all in the looks - Toshiba's NB300 is finished in a somewhat dull "Cosmic Black" theme, whilst the NB305 (pictured) carries a rather lovely textured design in either brown or white. Though, the latter will of course cost you extra.
The NB300 currently fetches £264 equipped with Windows XP, or £293 with Windows 7 Starter Edition. The sexier NB305, meanwhile, will set you back £318 for a Windows 7 model.
