It's been a busy week on the graphics-card driver front. AMD brought you Catalyst 10.10 and then the top-up Catalyst 10.10a on Saturday.

NVIDIA replied with another WHQL-approved set, ForceWare 260.99, which eked out more performance in new games when compared to the also-WHQL ForceWare 260.89 released on October 18.

AMD's back at it again and has now pushed out Catalyst 10.10- which adds to 10.10a by improving multi-GPU CrossFire performance in Metro 2033, F1 2001 (DX9) and Fallout Vegas. AMD explicitly mentions support for OpenGL 4.1, as well.

If you like tinkering with drivers and have time on your hands, head on over to here to download the Windows Vista- and 7-only set.

Remember, folks, AMD doesn't officially support this driver; install it at your own risk.

Here's the full rundown of 10.10c:

AMD Catalyst 10.10c Hotfix Features:

  • OpenGL 4.1 beta support
  • Support for the new Morphological Anti-Aliasing feature
  • Dead Rising 2 – Crossfire profile (Resolves negative scaling)
  • Crossfire Performance Improvement for:
    • Metro 2033
    • F1 2011 - (Direct X9 version)
    • Fallout New Vegas
  • Performance optimizations for systems with an AMD Radeon™ HD 6870 and AMD Radeon HD 6850 series of graphics products installed
    • Aliens versus Predator performance enhancements
    • Star Craft 2 performance enhancements
    • OpenGL performance enhancements – gains can be seen in Prey, Quake Wars: Enemy Territories, and Heaven v2

Just installed 10.10 last night xD Thanks for the heads up, will grab 10.10c before steam kicks in and tries to auto install drivers all over the place.
The article
F1 2001 (DX9)
DirectX 9 was only released in 2002. ;)
Did Tarinder ring them up saying he hadn't spent enough time benchmarking recently or something? :p
I'm going to stick the ‘d’ revision up……….

:P
Does it get rid of the “pink” problem?
