We've already shown you a passive Radeon HD 5670 that seem ideal for HTPC use, but if you're working within the constraints of a low-profile chassis, MSI has unearthed another solution.
It's dubbed the R5670-PD512, and as the picture depicts, it's a low-profile take on AMD's mid-range ATI Radeon HD 5670 GPU.
Built using MSI's usual array of military-class components, the card comes equipped with two small fans and an aluminium heatsink.
Beneath the cooler, the card's core and 400 stream processors are clocked at a reference 775MHz, and a 512MB GDDR5 frame buffer operates at an effective 4,040MHz.
VGA, DisplayPort and DVI outputs feature as standard, and there's a DVI-to-HDMI adapter included in the box.
Measuring 195mm x 69mm x 34mm, it's perfectly suited to slimline chassis, but we do wonder how noisy those fans will get? No word on pricing or availability just yet, but a listing on MSI's EU website suggests a retail appearance isn't far off.
