Owners of relatively new graphics cards can now rejoice at the fact that Futuremark has announced 3DMark11 - The Gamer's Benchmark for DirectX 11, in the company's own words - which will formally be released some time in Q3 this year.

Now we're not huge fans of firms announcing products that are months off being properly released, but Futuremark has offered a glimpse into what you can expect if you have Radeon HD 5000-series and/or GeForce 400-series hardware.

Dubbed the Deep Sea Tech Demo, or should that be the MSI Tech Demo, Futuremark says that the trailer uses an early build of the 3DMark11 engine. We'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on it, folks.

Futuremark will also be showing the demo/trailer at next week's COMPUTEX trade show in Taipei, Taiwan, where HEXUS will, once again, be out in force.

saying it looks almost real is an understatement
Hellsteeth. How will my poor 8800GT and E4300 cope with such technical jiggery pokery?!

It'll cry, a lot

Then it will soil itself and hide in the corner while you go buy a BIG, BEEFY, MANLY card to take it's place :)
