Today's HEXUS review confirmed that the 40nm ATI Radeon HD 4770 has raised the bar in the sub-Ā£100 graphics-card market, and if you're looking for something with just a touch more out-the-box power, ASUS has arrived on the scene with its 4770 Top Edition.
The card, pictured below, is pre-overclocked and features a GPU overclocked from 750MHz to 800MHz and 512MBs of GDDR5 clocked at an effective 3,400MHz - up from the reference 3,200MHz.
Sweetening the deal that little bit further, ASUS has also armed the card with its Voltage Tweak Technology - allowing users to increase card voltage via the bundled SmartDoctor software. According to ASUS, the 4770 TOP GPU's voltage can be raised from 0.95V to 1.2V, providing a theoretical GPU frequency of 971MHz and GDDR5 operating at a tasty 4,600MHz.
There's no indication of pricing yet, but the voltage-tweaked speeds should be enough to see it breeze past the Radeon HD 4850 in terms of performance, we reckon.
