EU and US availability
For the Europe and US, it's an even prettier picture. Where as yesterday we struggled to find a retailer with the Radeon HD 4870 X2 in stock, today the usual suspects are armed and ready. What a difference 24 hours can make.

As with the UK, stock is beginning to filter through into Europe, and Alternate.de has a selection available to choose from. However, with the in-stock cards priced at an average of €476 (£380), customers are still paying launch-day premiums, we feel.
The US, too, is following a similar trend. Popular retailer NewEgg.com has updated its inventory and has three Radeon HD 4870 X2 models available and in stock.

Priced at an average of $569.99 excluding tax, US customers are paying closer to the anticipated retail price of £330.
In summary, the Radeon HD 4870 X2 availability is looking a whole lot prettier the day after launch. With various retailers expecting shipments in the coming days, these cards will become a whole lot easier to find, and hopefully priced a little closer to the £330 mark, too.
