The RocketRAID 4520, is a member of HighPoint's PCIe 2.0 6Gb/s Hardware RAID Host controller Family - the RocketRAID 452x Series. All RocketRAID 452x Host Controllers utilize the same RAID Algorithm Stack, and support a wide-range of RAID configurations including 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and JBOD.

The RocketRAID 452x Host Controller family feature a dedicated CPU and 512MB DDR3 of cache memory which eliminates performance bottlenecks, and provides the ideal bandwidth for high-density, I/O intensive storage applications such as digital content creation, HD media streaming, creation and post production environments.
Industry Standard Dual-Mini-SAS ports directly support up to 8 6Gb/s SAS/SATA devices, and up to 128 via SAS expansion. The RocketRAID 452x Host Controller family's comprehensive management suite delivers a wide-selection of storage monitoring, maintenance and recovery features to help secure mission critical data from the risks of hardware failure.

Windows WHQL Certification is a rigid process that ensures that a product has met Microsoft's quality and compatibility standard and works seamlessly with the Windows operating system. WHQL certified products are automatically recognized by the operating system, and the product's device drivers are incorporated directly into Windows distributions and updates.
