Buffalo launches slimline, high capacity new MiniStation™ series

London, UK, 12 June 2013: Buffalo Technology, a global leader in the design, development and manufacturing of storage and wireless networking solutions, today launches a slimline, powerful and affordable portable hard drive range - the MiniStationTM series.

The new additions to Buffalo's portable storage portfolio are available in 500GB, 1TB and 2TB capacity. The 500GB version features a 7mm thick HDD, with the device measuring a mere 11.5mm thick and weighing just 165 grams.

The USB 3.0 devices offer users high-speed data transfers of up to 5 GB/s - that's 1,000 digital photos in just 9 seconds, which is up to four times faster than USB 2.0. The drives utilise Buffalo Tools TurboPC EX software, which enhances data transfer performance.

The MiniStation family is compatible with all popular operating systems, including Windows 8, 7, Vista and XP and Mac OS X 10.6 or later.

The new MiniStation devices are available from Buffalo's online UK distributors, which includes Dabs, Amazon and eBuyer, at an SRP of:

  • 500GB: £59.99 inc VAT
  • 1TB: £84.99 inc VAT
  • 2TB: £159.99 inc VAT
