Credit card–size hard disk with up to 120 GB storage
TrekStor, the leading manufacturer of high quality MP3 players, external hard disks and USB sticks, has launched a pocket-size hard disk with up to 120 Gigabytes (GB) of storage capacity. The DataStation microdisk, measures just 9.0 x 5.7 x 0.64 cm, and is available with 20, 80 or 120 GB of storage capacity. The 1.8” hard disk does not need an external power supply, comes delivered with software for easy backups and can be password protected.
“We’re living in an ever more mobile world where we’re continually on the road and a home office is no longer a rarity. The
small dimensions and low weight of between 65 and 75 grams allow important data
to be transported effortlessly. Business data, favourite pictures, music files
or travel videos can be saved to the hard disk easily at work or at a home PC.
The DataStation microdisk comes in a high–quality aluminum case, has low power
consumption and runs quietly. It is preformatted for immediate deployment and
the high–speed USB 2.0-interface – which is compatible with USB 1.1 – provides
high speed data transfer rates.
Swift,
secure backup with Nero
The
DataStation microdisk comes with backup software, Nero BackItUp2, which allows
users to save individual files or entire drives immediately at the press of a
button. The software reduces the backed–up data by compressing it on the fly
(i.e. writing without data buffering). If required, the backed–up data can also
be password protected to prevent unauthorized access.
