PRESS RELEASE

Enables Customers to Check Software Compatibility and Avoid the Headaches Often Associated With Upgrading to a New Operating System

London, UK, 17 October 2012 - CyberLink Corp. (5203.TW), a provider of innovative media creation solutions, today launched its Windows 8 Update Center - a free service for customers to prepare for the upcoming launch of Windows® 8 by determining whether their current CyberLink software is compatible with Microsoft's new operating system. If the system is not compatible, CyberLink will either offer a patch to update the software for compatibility or offer an easy upgrade path for customers to work with the new OS. Unlike other consumer software packages, CyberLink makes it easy for customers to continue creating digital media content, while upgrading to a new OS - never interrupting the creative process.

CyberLink has already announced that a number of its products are compatible with Windows 8 including: its PowerDVD 12 - the No.1 Blu-ray and media player, PowerDirector 11 - the world's fastest video editor, PhotoDirector 4 - a complete photo workflow solution, Media Suite 10 - a collection of 11 of CyberLink's industry-leading multimedia software offerings, YouCam 5 - a comprehensive webcam software, and many more.

Visitors to the Windows 8 Update Center will also be directed to free software patches for their CyberLink products that require compatibility updates.

"Technology should always be a complement to the creative process and multimedia enjoyment, and that is why we are making it easier than ever for customers to determine if their CyberLink software is optimized to run on the Windows 8 platform - while offering the best path to get there if it is not," said Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink. "Our Windows 8 Update Center is designed to provide customers with an easy, effective way to take advantage of the Windows 8 platform, without the headaches and questions often associated with upgrading an entire technology ecosystem. We want our customers to embrace innovation, not be hassled by it, and we are excited about the possibilities the Windows 8 platform brings to digital media creation and entertainment."

Special offers on Windows 8-compatible CyberLink products are now available from the Windows 8 Launch Sale page.
