PRESS RELEASE
Adobe XD sneak peek and exclusive icon collections launched at Berlin UI/UX design conference
London, UK – 9th February, 2018 – Today at Awwwards, Adobe unveiled a sneak preview of vector graphics support in Creative Cloud Libraries coming soon to Adobe XD CC, the all-in-one cross-platform solution for designing and prototyping mobile apps and websites. Alongside this significant update, Adobe previewed three exclusive icon kits created in partnership with some of the world’s most recognised designers.
The addition of vector graphics support in CC Libraries will provide a workflow breakthrough for designers who build their vector assets in Adobe Illustrator CC, and save them significant time with even tighter integration within the Adobe Creative Cloud ecosystem.
Designers will now be able to easily drag and drop vector graphics, including icons, illustrations and Adobe Stock SVGs, from their CC Libraries panel in XD to their canvas. When any changes are made to a graphic in Illustrator, those changes seamlessly propagate to the linked copies in XD.
This is one of many features coming to XD every month. Adobe releases regular updates to XD, closely collaborating with the design community to implement user feedback and introduce popular requested features.
Adobe’s new free icon kits launching this month celebrate user experience design excellence and underscore the importance of icon design to storytelling. The legendary designers who created the icons sets include:
- Lance Wyman – As one of the most celebrated American designers today, Lance has been recognised on a global level for his mastery of visual ecosystems and for setting the standard for the universal public design with projects including the 1968 Mexico Olympic Games logo and map of the Washington Metro system.
- Anton & Irene – This UX/design duo have received more than a dozen prestigious awards including Webby, Emmy, Red Dot, .NET, Awwwards and Cannes Lions for their work within the field. They have created dynamic experiences for clients such as Google, USA Today, Wacom and HTC, among others.
- Büro Destruct –This ground-breaking Sweden-based design prides itself on keeping open the boundary between art and commercial graphic design, with a breadth of experience designing icons, logotypes, apps for brands such as Swatch, Pebble, XXL Magazine, TCS, Digital Playground, and more.
