Press Release

UK, 20 June 2007 – Buffalo Technology has added two new wireless modem routers to its portfolio of wireless networking solutions – the AirStation™ Nfiniti Wireless-N ADSL2+ broadband modem router (WBMR-G300N) and AirStation™ Wireless-G High-speed ADSL2+ broadband modem router (WBMR-G125).

The latest additions to the modem router family focus on improved speed, range and security. The Wireless-N version is based on IEEE802.11n standards, the latest wireless technology on the market, ideal for streaming media content at speeds of up to 270Mbps. The Wireless-G router incorporates 125* speed enhancing technology that provides up to 35% better performance than a standard 802.11g modem router, is easy to use and cost effective for those requiring faster speeds. Both modem routers incorporate a high speed ADSL2+ modem connection, with line rates of up to 24Mbps downstream and 1.5Mbps upstream.

The products are ideally suited for quick and easy setup. They feature AOSS™ (AirStation™ One-Touch Secure System), the easiest and most secure one-touch wireless setup system available on the market today; and also Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) developed by the Wi-Fi Alliance, which is a simple, standardised way to set up a Wi-Fi network and enable security protection. Nintendo DS Gamers will be able to use the AOSS feature to easily connect to their wireless networks to explore online capabilities. Both routers also feature an Easy Setup wizard, which takes users through simple steps to get them up and running.

"We have exceeded user demand by basing our high performance modem routers on the very latest wireless standards, making them easy and secure to use," said Gerardine Lynch, Product Marketing Manager at Buffalo Technology.

A built-in four port switch provides 100Mbps throughput for applications that require improved streaming, including IPTV and gaming.

A new parental control function has been added, which allows users to restrict internet access to safeguard children from viewing inappropriate content. Additional security features include SPI firewall protection and DoS attack prevention. The products are compatible with Windows Vista.

Together with the existing, cost-effective AirStation™ Wireless-G ADSL2+ modem router (WBMR-G54), these two new models complete Buffalo's easy to use, secure modem router solutions, meeting the expectations of a variety of users.

Backed by a limited two-year warranty, estimated street prices (ex VAT) for the modem routers are as follows:

WBMR-G125 - £50
