Rotterdam (The Netherlands), January 2012 - One of the greatest threats on the web today is phishing, which is the attempt of a fraudster to acquire personal data in order to steal a person's identity or money. Internet criminals use fake e-mails and websites to try to obtain information such as login details for bank accounts, credit card data or national identification numbers. Every day, links to 2,000 new phishing sites are sent to millions of end-users via spam e-mail.
