PRESS RELEASE

Now available nationwide, multiple award-winning Internet connection appliance to be unveiled at International CES in Las Vegas, Booth South 3 - 31253, January 10-13, 2012

Rochester, NY, December 13, 2011 - Wi3, Inc., announces the official launch and nationwide availability of its highly anticipated WiPNET, a 2012 International CES Best Innovations award winner for its innovative approach to in-home Web connectivity and networking. More than just a P2P extender, the patented Wi3 system installs quickly, replacing existing CATV wall outlets, to deliver Ethernet over coax to create a fast and secure "WiPNET," all without disrupting any existing TV services. Each install uses standard coax cable to ensure speed and reliability regardless of structural barriers, other household signals or distance. The module's design reflects in-home aesthetics and ease of use, exemplified by straightforward external ports for data and an array of coax-connected devices, such as cable modems, standard or IPTVs, gaming systems and streaming video players. A WiPNET powered environment is free of buffering delays and signal interruptions, allowing multiple Internet-connected devices to function fast and freely.

"Household wireless routers and powerline home networks are struggling to keep up with the demands that multiple mobile phones, tablets and streaming HD TV devices are placing on them," says Wi3 CEO Bill Thompson. "Wi3's products solve this problem through easy installation, cost effective and total home coverage by giving consumers full bandwidth to every room that has a COAX outlet by means of our WiPNET wired for the best wireless solutions."

In addition to the 2012 CES Best Innovations award, WiPNET has been honored with Communication Technology's 2011 Platinum Award for In-Home Networking, The Resi Award 2011, CEPro's Best of CEDIA 2011 and was also named a CEDIA Best New Product finalist.

"WiPNET solves a number of home networking dilemmas. First, it's very simple to install and uses what's already there so there is no additional wiring or wall entry," adds Thompson. "It can handle multiple HD-quality streams from NetFlix and HULU, for example, while other devices are connected and using the Internet. Game players are no longer frustrated by latency or signal problems and the interchangeable cartridge and auto-configuring capabilities will future-proof any WiPNET against device connection needs down the road."

Unique to WiPNET is its "cartridge & sleeve" design, in which the sleeve component connects to the coax cable via an existing wall bracket to deliver an Ethernet signal, separating it at each WiPNET install. Fitted over the sleeve, the cartridge component is the physical connection between the Ethernet signal and the owners' Internet devices, whether cable TV, satellite or WiFi. Future cartridge options will be designed with varying types of device connections. Plus, new WiPNET installs are automatically configured, making the connection and swapping of new devices clean and simple.

WiPNET with WiFi, to be debuted at CES 2012, is a revolutionary networking architecture that allows multiple WiFi access points to dynamically operate together thanks to its wired backbone over the coax cabling. This never seen before concept delivers Ethernet over the coax to each WiPNET with WiFi port ensuring not only maximum signal strength, but full bandwidth throughout the home or office, eliminating the deadspots that plague today's WiFi networks.

WiPNET is now available through Wi3's distribution partners including ADI, ALLNET, Davis Distribution Systems, Digital Delivery Group, Wave Electronics and Pioneer Music Company, among others, and will be available at leading retailers and e-tailers in early 2012 throughout North America.

Wi3 will showcase the WiP1000 and additional WiP cartridge series during CES 2012 in Las Vegas from January 10-13. Journalists interested in previewing Wi3 products at the Entropic Booth, located at South 3 - 31253, may schedule an appointment by contacting Tiffany Iwankiw.
