17th December 2009, Hemel Hempstead, England,

Display specialist HANNSG has today announced a new range of ‘hard glass’ monitors specifically designed to survive the labours of intense use as well as everyday wear and tear.

The family PC monitor, public computer suite monitors and office monitors, all endure a certain amount of damage on a daily basis. Monitors sometimes even fall victim to angry attacks from users responding passionately to PC failure. Featuring a tough acrylic screen surface to shield the underlying sensitive panel, the new HANNGS hard glass monitors are protected against knocks and constant prodding which over a period of time, or quite often immediately, would most certainly cause irreparable damage to fragile traditional monitors and result in costly replacement.

“We are one of the only LCD monitor manufacturers with the ability and expertise to deliver hard glass monitor solutions. It requires specialist production to ensure long term reliability,” says Martin Kent, Territory Manager, UK and Northern Europe, HANNSG UK Ltd. “Monitors are a vital part of an ICT setup and so we believe that they should be given a little bit more respect, but when all else fails, our new hard glass monitors are prepared to survive”.

Aside from damage control, the tough acrylic screen surface of the new HANNSG hard glass monitor range allows for frequent cleaning. The ability to readily clean the hard glass screens makes the monitors the perfect choice for clinical environments with a hypo-allergenic cleanliness requirement.

With protection against the erosive and physical damage that can be caused by dirt and airborne debris, the HANNSG monitors are also ideal solutions for environments more prone to accidents and within which cleanliness is harder to manage, such as; construction sites, garages, warehouses etc.

The HANNSG hard glass monitors feature; DV1-D with HDCP support and VGA connectivity, a 15000:1 contrast ratio, 170º viewing angle and VESA mounting capability.

The new HANNSG hard glass range will begin rolling out early 2010, will launch with 19” and 22” size options and will include a 3yr on site swap out warranty as standard!
