Brand New Intel Mobile Processor Ready SIMA card for the ECS PF88 Extreme Hybrid
Milton Keynes, England, October 24th, 2005 - ECS Elitegroup has today announced its brand new I9S SIMA card, a platform converter card for the PF88 Extreme Hybrid Motherboard. Now, in addition to running Intel Socket 775 processors, end-users can also run the latest Intel Pentium M mobile processors (Socket 479) on their PF88.
Delivering the benefits of a Mobile CPU to the PF88, the I9S SIMA card allows end-users to experience the quieter, higher performance and lower power consumption from Intel mobile processors without the need of buying a brand new motherboard.
The I9S SIMA card, the third add-on conversion card for the PF88, comes with Socket 479 support, SiS649 North Bridge, and accommodates a maximum of 2GB of DDR400 SDRAM with two on-board memory slots.
The PF88 Extreme Hybrid is the industry’s first 64-bit ready motherboard featuring multi-platform support. It can transform an Intel platform into an AMD platform with the addition of a SIMA card. The latest SIMA cards to be brought to market by ECS, also allow the PF88 motherboard to run the latest mobile processors. Like other ECS Extreme motherboards, the PF88 Extreme also comes with the company’s proprietary dynamic overclocking technology, Instant Overclocking Controller (I.O.C.).
