PRESS RELEASE

Rome, Italy, 6th April 2011 – Toshiba UK today announces the launch of its latest Satellite L-series, unveiling  a collection of powerful, stylish and feature rich multimedia laptops designed for entertainment. Available in a choice of three screen sizes and a range of configurations, each model features impressive hardware specifications, including the latest Intel® or AMD processors, dedicated  NVIDIA® graphics  on selected models, as well as a selection of premium 3D features.

Designed to deliver high quality multimedia performance, the Satellite L-series features an assortment of options to suit a range of different users.  The 33.8cm (13.3”) Satellite L735 is ideal for entertainment on the move, the 39.6cm (15.6”) Satellite L755/L755D is perfect for everyday personal computing, and the 43.9cm (17.3”) Satellite L775 is ideal for those looking for a powerful big screen desktop replacement. All three models feature leading TruBrite HD+ displays, guaranteeing exceptional on screen detail in all conditions.

Selected models in the Satellite L-series also include a 3D-enabled Blu-ray player and HDMI® connectivity for outputting high definition 3D content to compatible 3DTVs, making them ideal for film fanatics looking for a premium home entertainment  player. The  pre-loaded Toshiba Video Player 3D software also converts 2D images to 3D, allowing users to enjoy existing DVD collections with a stunning 3D effect when played on a 3D TV.

The latest Intel® or AMD processors  offer a  blend of  power and  solid reliability, enabling users to run  multiple process-heavy software applications simultaneously. Dedicated graphics processing technology  on selected models  also  ensures images, videos and games are rendered quickly and displayed in vivid detail, regardless of what’s on display – making each model ideal for everything from gaming to HD movie playback.

Selected Satellite L755/L755D and Satellite L775 models also feature Toshiba’s Resolution+ picture  processing technology  – originally developed for and adopted from Toshiba’s REGZA TV range – enhancing the quality of DVD images and internet videos by sharpening edges and boosting colours. Integrated stereo speakers designed by specialist Onkyo® also provide  truly immersive audio, combining with the advanced imaging technologies to ensure multimedia content sounds as impressive as it looks.

The latest Wi-Fi connectivity is available on each model, delivering fast and secure wireless internet access. Super fast USB 3.0 connectivity on  selected Satellite L755/L755D and Satellite L775 models provides rapid transfer speeds of up to 5 gigabits per second between compatible devices, while Toshiba’s USB Sleep-and-Charge  technology allows users to keep phones and media players charged, even when their laptop is switched off. Selected models also feature Bluetooth® 3.0  technology  that  allows users to wirelessly connect with a range of compatible devices.

An all new, premium design also complements each model’s impressive hardware. The attractive 3D dot pattern adorns the chassis lid and palmrests, adding style to substance, while a selection of colour options includes Silver, Luxe White, Maroon Brown and Modena Red.
