Radeon Graphics bring Day-0 support to Far Cry 5

Gamers looking to join The Resistance with today’s release of Far Cry 5, one of the year’s most anticipated games, need look no further than AMD’s Radeon RX Graphics for smooth, immersive gameplay. With game Day-0 support, Radeon Software 18.3.4, released on Monday, creates the ultimate Far Cry 5 experience. 

AMD has worked closely with Ubisoft to ensure that Radeon fans can enjoy Far Cry 5 with exceptional image quality, stunningly high frame rates and low latency.

Radeon RX Vega-specific features driving industry leading performance will include:

  • Rapid Packed Math – Doubles the rate of compute to allow for faster physics and compute calculations on Vega GPUs.
  • Shader Intrinsics –  Allows direct game to hardware access on Radeon RX cards to extract more performance from the GPU.
  • Radeon FreeSync 2 – Brings low-latency, high-brightness pixels and a wide color gamut to High Dynamic Range (HDR) content for PC displays.

Additionally, with Radeon Software 18.3.4, several Radeon Software empower gamers in their effort to save Hope County, including:

  • Radeon Chill – experience up to 11 percent lower power consumption by enabling Radeon Chill, thereby lowering temperatures to allow cool and quiet gameplay.
  • Radeon WattMan – with up to 32 percent greater efficiencyRadeon WattMan is a one-click power save mode increasing performance per watt, providing improved overall gameplay.
  • Enhanced Sync – witness up to six percent faster response time with Enhanced Sync, creating the best experience possible at any framerate without ever missing a beat.
