When you consider the way in which computer devices have progressed over the years, the display stands out as one of the elements that has moved on heaps and bounds. I still remember the huge, beige iiyama CRT that once straddled my desk and made a frightening sound when powered on, but these days I'm surrounded by beautiful higher-resolution displays that I perhaps take for granted.

Panels that push the boundaries in terms of resolution and pixel density are all the rage among today's top-tier manufacturers, and it got me thinking, which is the highest-res display that I own?

It happens to be an iPad mini 2 tablet, whose display touts a resolution of 2,048x,1,536. In second place are my HD Philips desktop monitors (1,920x1,080 apiece), in third place is my Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon laptop (1,600x900) and at the bottom of the pack is my trusty Lumia 735 smartphone (1,280 x 720).

Over to you: which of your devices has the highest resolution display? Let us know using the comments facility below.

4k Samsung TV
and MS Surface
I have a lumia 735 at 1280x720 and a acer aspire netbook (yes one of those things) which I upgraded the screen to 1366x768 which made it a whole lot more usable.

Past that I have 2 UHD monitors and a UHD TV.
Density-wise it would probably be my Kobo Aura HD at 265dpi (1080x1440@6.8“). In terms of pixel count probably my 2.3MP (1920x1200@24”) monitor.
Smartphone GS7 (whatever that may be)
