Wot no HDD?
Nintendo President of Japan, Saturu Iwata, has told CNN Money that the price of games for the Nintendo Revolution will not exceed $50. Games for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 currently cost around $60 and, although Nintendo can't control the retail price of their games, he said, "I cannot imagine any first party title could be priced for more than $50."
Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo will be focusing heavily on downloadable games to claw back some of the huge amounts of money that have been invested. The Nintendo however, will not have a hard drive, so where will these games be stored?
Although Iwata won't be broaching this subject until E3 in May, he said, "The Revolution has 512 MB of flash memory, allowing for some initial storage space. The system also has a slot for SD memory cards, which are widely used in digital cameras and can hold a greater amount of data." He also mentioned the USB ports on the back of the console.
There is currently no release date for the console.
