High-capacity rugged hard disk gives users massive storage capacity
The portable solution for enjoying up to 500 CDs or storing data
Creative (NASDAQ: CREAF) the world-wide leader in digital
entertainment
products for the personal computer and the Internet, has announced the
launch of a 20GB version of its award-winning DAP Jukebox.
Available
alongside the original 6GB Jukebox, the new 20GB version will be able
to
store, play, compile and index the equivalent of 500 CD albums, that
is 5000
tracks in MP3, WMA and other digital formats. Priced at £339
including VAT,
the 20GB DAP Jukebox will be on sale from the end of October 2001.
With ample capacity to store data and audio files simultaneously the
20GB
Jukebox is as light, connectable and versatile as the 6GB model,
weighing
just 400g (14 ounces) and supporting 4-channel surround-sound.
Its USB
connection and support for line-in WAV and powered microphones ensures
fast
and easy recording for both pleasure and business. To ensure
compliance
however the market changes, it can be software and firmware updated
via
downloads from the Creative web site. It is flexible in output, too,
and can
be used with headphones, in-car systems, powered speakers and
connected to
traditional hi-fi systems.
The new 20GB DAP Jukebox comes in metallic blue and the interface can
be
localised allowing the user to select the messages on the display from
one
of several languages including English, French, Italian, German,
Spanish or
Dutch.
