Whiter shade of pale
As the saga of the white iPhone 4 continues, signage in stores in the US and Canada suggest that the fabled handset will indeed be out soon.
Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak recently confirmed that Apple had solved the problems plaguing its white iPhone, which was due out soon after the launch of the new model, while he also admitted the glitches to the white flavour were caused by pale parts meddling with the camera's picture quality.
And now, Engadget has reported that a shelf tag was spotted at a Best Buy store in Houston and if the signage is to be believed, the white flavour will retail for $599 PAYG, the same price as its black peer.
The websites also reported that a similar sign has been spotted in The Source- Canada's version of Radio Shack.
It has been estimated the white iPhone 4 will hit the shelves in the next few weeks and with signs starting to pop up it in shops it would appear that the unveiling could come even sooner.
However, Google might still beat Apple to the pale punch as it has announced a white version of its Nexus S handset will be exclusively available in Vodafone stores ‘soon,' despite a much later launch date of its newest smartphone than Apple.
It seems unlikely though that fanboys who have been waiting for a white iPhone 4 for ages now will be tempted to snap up a white Android-powered Nexus S!
Here is the image of the signage, as posted by Engadget.
