O2 announces 16 October UK launch for Palm Pre

Also available will be the Palm Touchstone Charging Dock, pictured below, which uses inductive technology to charge the phone without a physical connection. This will cost £44.11, but you can always use the Micro USB cable supplied.

You must be mad to get a 24 month contract - no upgrade for 2 YEARS!

My 18 month contract is just about bareable.
What about “tethering” - if I have to pay like on the iPhone tariffs then I'll give it a miss and stick with Nokia…

Otherwise 600 mins, 500 texts for £34.26 is the same as the usual O2 tariffs, but you also get unlimited web and Wi-Fi wheras the regular tariffs would only give one or the other of those…

They have been offering 2 bolt-ons for a long time now, I have 2 bolt ons 800 mins and 1000 texts for £35 a month with an XDA Orbit II, and my contract is up this month, but I am waiting for the Xperia X2 or something similar.
