Photos and specifications of the upcoming ZTE Grand S have been leaked prior to its unveiling at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas (January 8th – 13th). The Chinese company’s phablet-threatening, 5-inch, full HD screened smartphone measures a mere 6.9mm in thickness.
The ZTE Grand S will be a HD screened, sizeable yet sleek, Android powered smartphone priced competitively at around €340, according to Softpedia harvested rumours. There will be lots of power behind the 1920x1080 pixel screen in the form of a 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 (APQ8064) processor, which is in turn complemented by 2GB of RAM. I’ve made up a table of all the specs I could find from various sources...

Another interesting rumour about this phone is that it will be constructed using a ceramic material. Ceramic would probably give the smartphone a better quality feel than plastic but would also hopefully somehow avoid the brittle fragility of ceramic household items.
The price in its domestic Chinese market seems quite attractive and competitive for such a powerful and svelte smartphone. Full detailed specs and some hands on experience should be available with this device in a couple of weeks time when team HEXUS land in Las Vegas.
