The Carphone Warehouse has unveiled the pricing of Google's new Nexus S handset.

The phone is available on Vodafone, O2, T-Mobile and Orange, with the latter two seemingly better value at first glance.

While Orange offers a free handset with a £35 a month 2 year tariff, including unlimited texts, 700 minutes and 500MB internet, it would seem as if the most competitive deal is on T-Mobile.

T-Mobile is offering 500 texts, 1,200 minutes and ‘unlimited' internet on a 2 year contract, but customers will have to stump up £49 for the Nexus S handset.

It has been widely reported that some consumers are unsure of forking out extra for the Nexus S, seeing as it is similar to Samsung's Galaxy S handset.

While there are undoubtedly cheaper deals for the older smartphone, we found a £35 a month deal on Orange that is identical to its Nexus S offer and an identical £35 tariff T-Mobile deal too, making the two phones directly comparable price-wise.

The phone hits the shelves of The Carphone Warehouse on 20 December. Among its features is a contoured screen and NFC hardware, although it still runs the Hummingbird SoC.
