Interestingly, Ahn also confirmed that LG has been quietly beavering away on its own tablet to rival the iPad and other new offerings in the lucrative space.
"LG is currently definitely working on it. We are confident we will provide a best of kind and not just a large smartphone," he said.
The firm is aiming for a ‘best in class' but also ‘competitive' tablet and is working on the hardware, software and content to get it right, Ahn added. However he did not hint whether it would be an Android-powered product.
