Las Vegas, January 3 2014 - Acer today unveiled the third generation of the Acer Iconia B1 with a slim design, 10-point touch display and increased performance, setting a new standard for a tablet targeted at young or new users or families looking for an additional tablet for their children. The Iconia B1 is also ideal for busy individuals seeking a convenient mobile companion.
The thin design and narrow bezel of the 7" Iconia B1 makes it perfect for e-reading, web browsing, playing games and watching videos. The new back cover texture provides a comfortable touch, with a silky finish, while users can choose their favourite screen's frame colour among smoky grey and vermilion red.
The new Iconia B1 features a 10-point touch display encased in a thin bezel and supported by One Glass Solution technology. In addition, both speaker and microphone are placed on front to provide higher volumes, more immersive sound for music and video enjoyment or clearer voice for video calls.
The Iconia B1 is equipped with a 1.3GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of memory for fast and smooth gaming, web browsing and video featuring Android's Jelly Bean operating system to get quickly precise answers to your search queries.
To top off the rich experience, the new Iconia B1 comes with a front-facing camera to engage in live chats with your friends. The camera is on the top right corner and works also when in landscape mode, allowing your friends to get into the picture during a video chat.
Available with WiFi or 3G data connection with the option to expand the storage capacity by 32GB via microSDTM, the Iconia B1 is the ideal easy companion for tablet newbies or children while adults use their own.
Accessories for extra productivity and protection
As an ideal companion to the Iconia B1, the protection case guards against scratches, and acts as a stand to let you read or type a mail smoothly. The optional Anti-glare protective film protects your screen against scratches and lets you read your screen comfortably even with bright light sources around you.
In addition, Acer offers a state-of-the-art, ultra-slim Crunch Keyboard fitted in a soft synthetic leather cover that easily folds outs while also serving as a tablet stand. The stylish 5.3 mm (0.21 inches) thin silver keyboard offers Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity and is rechargeable via Micro USB, while a Traveler Adapter kit offers flexibility to charge at home or in the office.
