Conclusion
There are a few minor glitches. On occasions, your opponent’s foot will shake uncontrollably when you leave him ‘spark out’ on the canvas and, whilst fighting on the outskirts of the ring, the ropes will periodically vanish. Luckily you won’t fall out of the ring, and the glitch will appear so infrequently that you’ll probably not even notice it.
The cut-scenes, such as the ladies who walk around the ring during the break, are also superb, they wobble in all the right places - apart from the black lady who appears to have white blotches on her skin.
Fight Night Round 3 also boasts a powerful soundtrack that compliments the brutal game, including tracks from Obie Trice and the Kray Twinz. The audio lends to the pace and power of the game ensuring that you’ll be punching to every heart-pounding beat.
The tactical talk in the corners between each round is also authentic, if not a little repetitive.
Fight Night Round 3 is the most realistic boxing experience yet. It has a few minor annoyances, which stop it from being an unbelievably great game, but it’s a solid, great looking, brutal game that you’ll find hard to put down once you’re in the flow.
It’s hard work, but being crowned champion is always worth it in the end.
Pros
Great damage modelling
Tactical
Well structured career mode
Superb Graphics
Cons
Training is boring
Slow reaction when recovering from hits
The best looking and, arguably, the best boxing game yet.
