Of apocalyptic wastelands...

Remember Mad Max? A classic piece of cinema if ever there was one. Post-apocalyptic world, cars, and shooting things. What does that have to do with this review? A lot, actually.

Bandits: Phoenix Rising is the brainchild of Swedish developers Grin, and is essentially a third-person shooter in cars with heavy Mad Max-inspired themes.

In this post-apocalyptic world, there is the one functioning city, Jericho, and a number of gangs who want to plunder said city. The only means of access is via a key called the Phoenix, whose ownership is somewhat contested between the gangs. You play an unlikely duo, members of the Wolfpack gang, named Fennec and Rewdalf. Fennec is some wise-ass yank driver, whilst Rewdalf is a beardy potty-mouthed trigger-happy Scottish midget. Ahem.
