Things that go 'boing' in the night
The game interface is quite simple. A clear menu system leads you through customising your vehicle towards the game, where the uncluttered display leaves plenty of room in the centre for the beautiful visuals. Whilst one apocalyptic wasteland looks much like another, the game is a graphical treat with detailed cars and landscapes. Unfortunately, my low budget means I can’t play the game using a Matrox Parhelia’s 3-screen setup (as the programmers intended), but I make do :P
Aurally, the game is also a treat. The voice acting features a few clichéd
accents, but in an amusing way. And more importantly, the music is well above
average with a choice of music style to suit each of the four factions to listen
to (and a selection of tracks for each).
