Puzzle-solving whilst wearing two pairs of pants

In terms of gameplay, Silent Hill Homecoming will stick to what it knows best, with a hefty dose of puzzle-solving, which we're assured will be connected to the narrative and help progress the story naturally. Alongside puzzle-solving, we can also expect bouts of combat against a range of despicable and macabre characters and animals, which include the likes of Feral, a wild dog-type animal, and Siam, a female Siamese twin that has a pair of hands growing out of his head and legs the size of tree trunks.

Although, the mechanic for fighting appears to be very similar to previous Silent Hill games, there has been a few enhancements made that will offer more variation and attacking and counter maneuvers, which will include being able to grapple an enemy. As well as a new real-time damage model, the AI has also been stepped up a notch and will react and track us aggressively if we happen to make a noise whilst tip-toeing through the silence.

If you want to scare yourself witless, you can't go wrong with the Silent Hill series, that's granted. Providing we also get a decent storyline, but more importantly a decent fighting mechanic and logical and interesting puzzles, then it really is going to be worth waiting until November to get our hands on the next phase in this spine-tingling series.

Silent Hill Homecoming is due for release in North America on September 30th and Europe on November 20th.

Bit confused from the article.
it isn't being developed at Konami HQ, instead, development has been transferred to California-based Double Helix games, who have little experience in the genre.
and then later on in the article:
This time around Konami is going to take us deeper into…<snip>
So is it still a Konami game only the work has been sub-contracted to Double Helix or has Double Helix taken the reign of this gaming series?

Glad there is more to this series though. Enjoyed the previous games I played (Silent Hill 1 and 2), very atmospheric and were great games to play along side Resident Evil series. :)
I am quite looking forward to this, hopefully it will be more like the first and second games in the series. 3 and the room didn't quite have the right feel to them

Sorry! Konami is still the publisher, just not the developer anymore. Konami still write all the press releases, so when I get any information on the game it's come from them. However, they've given control of development to Double Helix. Confused myself for a moment!
This looks a LOT more like SH2 than the previous 2, which definitely a good thing. 3 wasn't bad but The Room was rubbish.
