Remember EA saying that they're sick of seeing re-hashed titles? Well, Army of Two is one of their new IP's which they claim will offer a ground-breaking experience on Xbox 360 and PS3. The company has now confirmed that the title, which focuses on two-man missions, two-man strategies, two-man tactics and a two-man advantage will launch on both platforms this November.

In fact, I seem to remember someone from EA mocking Gears of War and saying that the cover system in Army of Two will blow it to shreds. Well we won't have to wait long to see, eh? Army of Two will feature a politically charged storyline, centering on the impact and ethical issues of Private Military Corporations. EA Montreal has also enlisted world renowned composer, Trevor Morris, to bring all aspects of the storyline and epic two-man gameplay to life through a powerful soundtrack. Morris has worked on numerous Hollywood blockbuster titles including Black Hawk Down, Bad Boys II, The Last Samurai and Pirates of the Caribbean 1 and 2.

Will it be a totally new game or will it be based on the same engine? :)
It's a brand new franchise, but it uses Unreal Engine 3, same as GOW. They've been putting a lot of emphasis on how great the cover system will be, so it will be interesting to see whether they pull it off.
Revolutionary…that will be on of about 4 things then!

A) No health bar
B) Bullet time
C) Unique squad tactics
D) Graphics
Haha, so true. The words revolutionary and exclusive are used far too freely.

You sure that was not gamers who said that and not EA as they really love rehashing the sims every 6 months and giving Fifa a nice new gloss and adding +1 to the date ;)
