Capcom has confirmed that the Lost Planet map packs (1&2), which includes 4 different locations, will be released on July 20th for free from the Xbox live marketplace.

In addition PC owners will be able to download a patch on the same day which will include a few updates including new playable character skins as well as the 4 multiplayer maps. There are also 2 new 'views' or camera angles. One is a wide-angle view that lets you see more of the action on the sides. The secon is a Resident Evil 4-like view that puts the character to the left side of the screen, rather than right in the middle.

PC users will also receive new playable character models for online and single-player modes. Those character models are 'Frank West from Dead Rising (on the Xbox 360), in his snazzy blue and yellow Capcom-branded boxer shorts, the awesome Joe NEVEC soldier, and the blue bomber himself, Mega Man.”Characters will have their own unique weapons and other characteristics to change up the gameplay a bit.
