New firmware released for hackers

Xbox 360 hackers have wormed their way around the recent security update from Microsoft, which aimed to track down those gamers who are accessing the Xbox live service through modded consoles. The detecting software released by Microsoft blocks the Xbox live service from those machines, but new firmware has now been released which allows hackers to bypass the ban.

According to Xbox-Scene, the new firmware works on any Xbox 360 with the TS-H943 DVD drive, preventing detection whilst still allowing you to play any back-up games.

Xtreme firmware 1.0 for TS-H943 Xbox 360
Features
(v1.0) Defeats all current and some future Xbox Live detection attempts
(v1.0) Boots ONLY Stealth Xtreme Xbox 360 backups
(v1.0) Boots ONLY Stealth Xtreme Xbox 1 backups
(v1.0) Boots all Xbox 360 originals
(v1.0) Boots all Xbox 1 originals on Xbox 360
Use on Xbox Live at own risk!!

Looks like Microsoft are going to have to put their thinking caps back on.

The new firmware doesnt boot games which havent been patched correctly therefore it will be a little harder for Microsoft to detect, although I am sure they will and then a new firmware will come out again - similar to the PSP situation ….

Saying that though I know a few users that still have the older 5.3 firmware on the console and havent been banned from Live as yet.

Looks like the game of cat and mouse has begun
Will this work if you have already been baned?

Joke post should of gone in the joke section. Is getting your post count up really worth the hassle of trundeling through age old threads, really ?
