Usually it's Bioshocks' multiplayer crowd that is catered for with downloadable content, but 2K Games has today confirmed the first single player content, which has been described as a "self-contained narrative experience."

No details on price have been revealed but the new DLC lands this Autumn and builds on the existing story where you'll "uncover dark secrets, "meet a brand new character and explore a new area named as Rapture's Central Computing District.

The DLC has been named Minerva's Den and will also include new gameplay features, new weaponry, new plasmids amd a "never-before-seen type of Big Daddy."

The DLC should be avaiable on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC at the same time. We'll let you know pricing and a release date as soon as we hear.
