Konami is going all out this year to evolve its Pro Evolution series, which has seem little innovation to it in the last few years. Part of the new plan is to improve on character models to give the matches a more authentic feel.

It looks like the plan is going extremely well. Just check out this montage of England players! Gerrard, Terry and Ferdinand look scarily real.

Konami claims that the next iteration in the Pro Evolution series will be the "most challenging, realistic and satisfying PES to date." The proof will be in the tasting when PES 2010 arrives on October 22, 2009.

Wow, they've really nailed the gaumless footballer look this year.

They do look totally miserable.
The Beckham render is pretty impressive by my reckoning.
Is anyone thinking “thank god the bloke on my screen looks like Beckham” as they are making that crucial pass, taking that shot or making that last ditch tackle?
they really have nailed lampards looks down to a T.
