Xbox Live's Major Nelson has posted a video on his blog showing us what we can expect from its avatar-based community feature when the 'New Xbox Experience' arrives later this year.

The early build shows that customisation is far more in-depth than than it is with Mii creation on Wii. You can even make your avatar burp on command. Oh, the fun that we'll have...

wow that looks cool:cool:
It does look very cool :)

Quite a few people aren't interested in the avatars, but I think they'll be a very good addition to the new dashboard.
Looks impressive to a degree, but I still don't like the look of the new “xbox experience” interface. I've only got my 360 a few days ago, but I think the current dashboard is great - looks good, works well..why change it for something that looks oh so PS3/Media Centre like :(

Still, we have the hard drive feature to look forward to at least, thats got to be the killer feature of the new dash for me :)
He seemed to steer clear of the Gamer Picture option, whats that all about?
Still it looks a lot better then it did at the unveiling:)
XBL is apparent going to be down on the 29th of September for some more maintenance in preparation for the new dashboard so the release is probably getting close:)

Hard drive feature?

I have to admit that i do like the look of the new dashboard. The current one is great but their is room for improvement. I hope Sony follow suit and sort something a bit more usable out.
