Nintendo have confirmed that the price and launch date of Wii will be revealed before September, with many analysts believing that the Game Convention in Germany will be the venue for the big news. The event takes place from August 24th to 27th in Leipzig and has been described by some as the E3 for Europe.

Yesterday Satoru Iwata also revealed the pricing for Wii's downloadable retro games. Games will range from between $4.50 and $8.99 in the U.S and 500 to 1,000 yen in Japan.

Although pricing for the main titles has not yet been announced, games are expected to retail at around Ā£40.

Woo! at least the pricing of retro games isn't too bad - but won't people just download them as roms from the net and put them on a memory card (since Wii has an SD slot does it not?).

thats a rediculous rip off for retro games……
apparently that's the price for new games via WiiConnect24, not retro games

Surely that implies retro games, i can't imagine Ninty pricing new games that cheaply?
