I don't know about you, but aside from when I spent many an hour trying to complete Super Mario Galaxy and the odd evening online playing Mario Kart with a bunch of Europeans who I'm sure have found some unsavoury way of cheating their way to victory, my Wii has pretty much been gathering dust.

It's still been worth the cash just to play those two games in particular and admittedly I've had some great nights with friends and family playing Wii Sports when it initially launched, but when you've got an Xbox 360 in the house and AAA titles such as Call of Duty 4, Halo 3, Oblivion or Bioshock are in your eye-line, it takes a really great game for me to want to play Nintendo's console.

The good news is that the third party AAA titles may well be coming soon, so says Capcom's Community Specialist:

“Honestly, I think the lack of AAA titles also has a lot to do with a lot of the 3rd parties simply being caught with their pants down. Triple A take a lot of time to develop; Many years in fact. For them to have been announced/released by now, it would have meant that they were in development/planning before/shortly after the Wii was released. However, nobody, besides Nintendo, expected the Wii sales to be so strong, and anyone who did should be buying lottery tickets.

However, the good news is, now that the industry has seen the rise of the Wii, I’m sure many plans and budgets have been shifted and adjusted, and triple A titles should be in their pipeline (though not ready to be announced). This means soon, you should be flooded with the titles from the franchises you’re familiar with, and ones that aren’t just spinoffs.

Have a little patience and faith in the little white console that could. I know I am

Personally, I'm really looking forward to seeing what Infinity Ward do with Call of Duty 5: World at War on Wii. It's first effort with the console wasn't bad, arguably one of the best shooters on the console, but the unwieldy control system and graphics could have been better. Maybe we'll even see an online mode, who knows?

Have faith people, the games are coming!

Oh yes! Looks pretty good :)
How stripped down though will be alone in the dark to run on a wii? Hardly a graphical / processing powerhouse…
I've really enjoyed Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Resident Evil 4, and (don't laugh) Dragonball Z: Budokai Tenchaiki 2 on Wii. I didn't get ‘hooked’ by either Mario Galaxy or Zelda: Twilight Princess. Wii Sports and Wii Fit have had much more play time - even Wii Play has had loads of hours spent messing around with mates, and Harvey Birdman: Attorney-at-Law was great as a (drunken) group.

Interesting that of the four 360 titles mentioned, 3 are not only on PC, but arguably better there. :D When you've got a decent PC in the house with AAA titles such as CoD 4, Bioshock, Oblivion, The Witcher, STALKER, Civ4, C&C3, Mass Effect, Age of Conan, World in Conflict, Sins of a Solar Empire, Company of Heroes etc etc… ;) well, let's not refer to the diagram again.

Pretty significantly I'd expect, though grabbing objects and swinging them around with the controller could be fun.
