But, what will they be?

The first game to utilise the new the Wii balance board will be Wii Fit this Spring, but Nintendo has also confirmed today that there are also over 10 games currently in development that will take advantage of the pressure sensitive plastic peripheral.

Speaking to IGN, President of Nintendo of America Reggie Fils-Aime confirmed the news when he responded to a question asking if the board would be a worthwhile purchase.

“I think what you're speaking to is, from a consumer perspective, help me feel good about this purchase. There are over 10 games in development that take advantage of the Balance Board. Certainly in terms of ongoing enjoyment, we believe that Wii Fit plus the Balance Board will provide that to the consumer,” replied the Nintendo boss.

The only other game that has been confirmed to utilise the board so far is Namco Bandai's Family Ski.

Ok the guessing game starts here…

What games could be in use on this (maybe I should patent these ideas if Nintendo haven't thought of them yet…)

Bart Simpson Skateboarding?
Indiana Jones Cave Adventures (with a scene similar to the balancing act in National Treasure 2)
Definitely skateboarding. It would be nice to see some adventure games using it in some way though!
I would like to see them utilise the board and the wiimote as a gun so that shooting games could technically detect when you duck within shoot-em-ups.

Just lik those foot petals on the time crisis arcade games?
Oh another idea > 2 foot sensor, one for brakes and the other for accelerator in racing games…
