Take aim... zap!
Get your finger at the ready as the Wii Zapper, an exclusive Wii accessory, launches across Europe! Using the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, the Wii Zapper is a comfortable frame that houses both the Wii controllers, providing users with an exciting new way to play on Wii! The Wii Zapper comes bundled with Link’s Crossbow Training and will be compatible with various other upcoming titles, including Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, as it launches across Europe on 7th December 2007.
The Wii Remote and Nunchuk both take on a new feeling when placed within the Wii Zapper. In Link’s Crossbow Training players use the Wii Remote in the Wii Zapper to aim at targets on the screen, with the Nunchuk controlling movement. On the Wii Remote, players simply press down the trigger (the B Button) to fire, or continue the pressure for a more powerful shot. They can also re-position themselves, turning in different directions by aiming the pointer off-screen. On the Nunchuk the Z-Button acts as a zoom function for the camera so that the shot is completely on target.
Link’s Crossbow Training sees each player take on the role of Link in a series of exciting and fast-paced challenges set in the world of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
Players can get accustomed to the Wii Zapper with Link’s Crossbow Training and practice Target Shooting as well as the Defender and Ranger modes, ensuring an action-packed experience in numerous stages spread over nine levels. The object of each stage is to achieve the highest score before the time limit expires. In Target Shooting, the difficulty level continues to increase as players progress through the stages and, for an even greater challenge, the bulls eye target moves across the screen. Players will therefore need to harness all their skills as they race against the clock!
The Ranger and Defender modes pose yet more challenges! In Ranger mode, players are able to use the Nunchuk to navigate their way through levels, taking on enemies as they appear using the Wii Zapper to look around and take aim. In Defender mode players remain stationary but can defend attacks around 360 degrees, aiming in any direction! In multi-player mode, players must pass the Wii Zapper around, each taking a turn to compete for the highest score within the time limit, adding an extra dimension of competition to the game.
Utilising the innovative Wii Zapper allows players to take aim and fully immerse themselves into the game in a completely new way! So, make sure you’re first in line when the Wii Zapper + Link’s Crossbow Training launches across Europe on 7th December at an estimated retail price of around €30.
