Following on from the news that two Chinese newspapers, The Commercial Times and Apple Daily, had stated that ASUSTeK computers have began shipment of the PS3 to Sony, Next-gen Biz are reporting that the Taiwan-based company have stepped forward to issue a sharp warning to the world's media. The Taiwanese press are now reporting that ASUSTeK will sue any outlets who they deem to have caused lasting damage to the relationship between them and their clients.

The newspapers had stated that ASUSTeK were on schedule to ship 200,000 PS3s to Sony this month, but the company have refused to comment on the speculation, saying that "it is an established company policy not to comment on such reports given confidentiality agreements with customers".

Hmm I don't see how this is damaging in any way to asustek - save for the fact that they have leaks (but so does almost any company…)

Surely it's a positive thing, showing that they are (allegedly) shipping 200k of units relativly soon? Interesting response by asustek to say the least..
